Student Research and Travel
- On-campus: Independent and supervised research in nationally funded laboratories. Original research in all areas, leading to trips to national conferences.
- Off-campus: Research opportunities in local hospitals and other areas during the semester.
- Study abroad during the year and summer. Special opportunities for Honors students in Greece and Crete during the summer.

Thesis
- Year-long original research often growing from earlier Honors projects. A great benefit in preparing for professional and graduate work.

Honors College classes
- Small, active, discussion classes in seminar rooms.
- Special Honors sections that fulfill University-wide requirements.
