The Honors Experience

More than just a diploma

The Honors College isn’t just a pathway to a diploma; it’s a life-changing experience that helps you awaken your mind to the greater possibilities of who you are. You should expect to be challenged in the Honors College because we want you to access the drive and passion that will help you discover your full potential.

We believe that an intellectual drive is fueled by an intense curiosity of the world surrounding us, which is why our on- and off-campus cultural experiences and events are paramount to the Honors curriculum. Along with an on-campus educational experience that is tailored to you—to include student research and publication opportunities—you’ll be immersed in theatre, ballet, music and art events in one of the greatest cities in the world, New York City.

You’ll also take part in intellectual discussions at Dean Richard Garner’s house, as well as enjoy film nights in the Honors Lounge. Honors Summer Research Fellowships—paid placements ($500 a week for eight weeks) in hospitals, museums, etc., over the East coast—are also available. The experience is what you make it.
